Located within the historic Blatz Brewery building in downtown Milwaukee, this project provided a new, state of the art facility for Tanner-Monagle’s audio video and post production business. It features four control rooms, three sound booths, and two workstation rooms. Also located within the suite is a roomy lounge and kitchen that doubles as an informal live recording space.
The heart of the project however is the central recording studio with its soaring twenty-foot ceilings. Designed for both optimal acoustics as well as to be visually stimulative for video productions, the sound stage is one of the best in the country for recording productions. Exposed cream city brick and the ragged cut ends of steel beams give the space a raw edgy industrial feel. A flexible setting for multiple group sizes and requirements was also a major factor in the design of the space.
