Coffee Shop
This cafe was designed to balance the client's needs with local zoning requirements. The result is a small-scale cafe with a welcoming, sunny morning oasis adjacent to the busy street corner. Special care was taken to the exterior, allowing the design to blend into the adjacent residential neighborhood seamlessly. The interior boasts an artful, tectonic display of structure, allowing patrons to visualize how the building has been constructed while also creating an environment that soothes, playing off the human psyche's need for structure and order. To contrast the raw, exposed materials, a vibrant and artful backdrop of color and texture encapsulates the cafe's interior, creating a lively space for patrons. There are numerous seating spaces on the two interior levels and an upper roof deck that overlooks the street corner and plaza below. The Fiddleheads Tosa Cafe exemplifies how architecture can create a living space, telling stories and creating lasting memories. Status:
