Senior Living Community

The Westerly is a 138-unit, four-story senior living facility that includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Sited on a prominent intersection in Pewaukee where neighborhoods of single-family homes transition to big box suburban sprawl, the building manages this dramatic contrast in urban scale by having a sizeable overall mass that complements the scale of the big box stores while at the same time broken down into a series of smaller discernable parts that are more human in scale and relatable to the single-family homes. Inspired by the historic resorts of the adjacent Lake Country region, the exterior material palette is comprised of clay brick, asphalt shingled gable and shed roofs, and a combination of lap and shake siding. Many resident units feature private balconies or at-grade patios overlooking the surrounding landscape. Thoughtful finish selections and detailing continue the historic resort theme on the interior of the building and create an environment that feels more residential than institutional. Common amenities include a club room, dining room, golf simulator, indoor swimming pool, rooftop patio, tearoom, and theater.
