The owners of Liberty Dance approached GCA after a frustrating process of working with a different team that was unable to deliver a building that fit their budget and met their functional and aesthetic goals for the project. We embraced a collaborative approach with the new builder, Duffek Construction, and worked with building systems and materials that were affordable and yet allowed us to be creative and playful with the form and interiors. The design features a simple broken gable exterior, color LED lighting on the exterior, daylight in every dance studio, wide hallways to help build the family atmosphere that make the dance troupes special.
